HOUSING

We believe that access to good housing is a basic human right. We work closely with non-profits and community development organizations to create a range of affordable housing options from single and two family infill housing to multi-unit buildings that keep communities diverse and prevent displacement. We also collaborate with service providers to design supportive housing which combines affordable housing with coordinated services to help people in need maintain stable housing and receive appropriate support.

COMMUNITY

We work collaboratively with community groups, youth groups and non-profits to create vibrant and welcoming community spaces that serve the public and reflect local culture. The spaces we design are embedded in community voices and desires. We have designed community centers, gardens and learning environments where people can gather, celebrate art & culture, learn through doing, receive counseling and legal assistance, and nourish their well-being.

ENTERPRISE

We support social and sustainable entrepreneurs in their work because we know that they create economic opportunities to uplift and support communities and improve their quality of life.  Several of our clients are food-based entrepreneurs pioneering organic and artisanal products, while staying committed to affordability and closing the loop in the ecological economy.  From small scale gardens and bakeries to large scale urban and aquaponic farms, we thrive on bringing these creative visions to life in industrial spaces.  We also collaborate actively with non-profits providing job and entrepreneurial training.
